Mumbai Young Critics is an exciting initiative introduced by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image to mark the beginning of a new decade of the festival.

The objective of Mumbai Young Critics is to expose the young minds to aesthetic standards of film criticism and appreciation. 32 college students will be selected for Mumbai Young Critics to form a student jury. The selected students shall avail the opportunity to watch all films screened during the festival, interact with celebrity guests, and participate in the press conferences, seminars and master classes.  Their reviews shall be published in the festival daily bulletin and other festival publications.

The Mumbai Young Critics will select a film from the upcoming 14th Mumbai Film Festival for ‘Mumbai Young Critics Award’ which will carry a Silver Gateway and a certificate.
